Jerez is often considered to be one of the epicurean centers of Spain. And Tuga restaurant is a prime example. Serving up traditional Spanish foods with a flare for quality, presentation and taste, you can’t go wrong. A bit outside of the town center but that makes it all the more worthwhile.

Front of a bakery shop named 'Malvón' with a sign indicating it is in Jerez de la Frontera. The shop has a glass door and window displaying baked goods inside. There is a brown awning above the entrance with the text 'Malvón Jerez de la frontera'. A neon sign inside the window reads 'Malvón' and 'Repostadas a mano'. Outside, a plastic water bottle is on the ground.

I usually don’t recommend street food and such, but I am cra-cra for a good empanada! And Malvon Lanceria does not disappoint. With a overwhelming variety from traditional, to veggie, to new wave their fresh ingredients, good service and a flaky crispy crust to die for are unparallel. And for the prices they charge you can fill up a bag, or a basket, or your car!

Fogon De Mariana is the epitome of a Southern Spain restaurant should be. But if your a vegan or non-meater, then move on to the next section. With fantastic service only outdone by the food preparation and presentation, it is a meat lovers dream come true. Like most steak restaurants, some of the cuts are very expensive, but the overall value is worth the trip.

This low cost gastro taberna, Atuvera, is a funky alternative to the traditional Spanish restaurants. Serving innovative dishes in an informal converted 16th century stable, Atuvera is located in the super cool center of Jerez where the city inspired Flamenco goes strong! Great brandy and super service too! Right near the beautiful San Miguel church.
